Around 2003, I had already been bodypainting for several years, but I have never used an airbrush…ever. When I first picked it up, I immediately gained respect for those who can do amazing things with airbrush. I did not do anything elaborate. I base sprayed the model with the colors I wanted and then hand painted the designs.
So I fumbled around trying to figure out how to control the airbrush monster and the model was very patient with me. The actual painting was really simple, but it was one of the hardest I did at the time. Now, 12 years later, it is much easier and I rarely use it. But that is going to change.
