Update 6-27-2012 ![]() This was a colorful addition to my work. We spent 5 hours painting this treefrog hanging from a dandelion onto the model. Update 5-30-2012 ![]() "Her Private Mechanisms" - This sexy cyborg piece was Steampunk inspired. It took 7 hours to paint all the copper/steel gears and endoskeleton with the assistance of my wife, Sherrie. Krystyn, the model was a trooper. This is a black make-up base with a metallic over lay. We posed her plain like a robot would be that is waiting on instructions. Update 5-15-2012 ![]() ![]() ![]() These are some of the latest works from FleshandColor. The hand painted dragon and the mixed media pieces are on the same model from an april session. We were both very pleased with the outcome. Update 3-31-2012
New work 2012. I am going into different directions with my work. More detailed and complex. The Koi shown here is a prime example. ![]() ![]()
I have been experimenting with the body painted metallics I regularly use in combination with our pallet make-up. These freestyle and intricate designs flow well over the body. We hope you enjoy.
This piece was painted for our new business card. If you came here by scanning our QR code, click to have a look at the video to see it actually painted. Update 2-15-2012
Photography by FleshandColor - Graphite/Pastel Mixed Media drawing on 18x24 paper. Contact us for your own photo/drawing set. Update 1-03-2012
Another metallic body painted shot in water. Update 12-18-2011
My wife, Sherrie, invited her friend over to be painted. The majority of the painting was done by Sherrie. I think It turned out great.

The image below is something my client wanted to do. She wanted a space theme painted on her body and a digital composition of her in space battling a lion. We were happy with the image. Hope you enjoy. :)
Update 10-12-2011 The image below is a teaser. We painted a horse....you can only see the full image on the fan page in the Exclusive Album. It's worth clicking the facebook link above, becoming a fan and checking it out and all the other Facebook Fanpage photography and body painting exclusives.
Update 10-06-2011 We've been in the mood to paint more here recently and not just "glam" types of work that you usually see from us, but more artsy/abstractions that can hang anywhere. These latest editions are a good example of that. We were pleased with the combination of sensuality and color and line flow with the two bodies that make them become one.
This abstract bodypainting has a rugged, earthy feel to it. We were happy with the simplistic, yet complex design.
Also, check out the Planet Rock music video below featuring FleshandColor Bodypainting. Update 9-26-2011 We did some metallic body painting recently that included using a bit of sparks to give some different lighting. The model was a trooper with the metal shards of fire bouncing off of her for the shoot. The make-up and body paint was not flammable so we did not catch her on fire. ;) Enjoy a short video below.
Metallic body painting with nice metal sparks from a hand grinder.
Update 9-12-2011 This weekend was a fun weekend of body painting and events. We were on site for the grand re-opening of Black Lotus tattoo Gallery and we painted a pretty sexy Day of the Dead model for the event. All she has on is boy shorts. The rest is paint. When we were done there we moved everything over to Van Dykes for Men to help promote their shop with some live body painting. We had a good turn out. Check out the photos below, click above to visit Black Lotus, Van Dykes and the FleshandColor fan pages.
Update 9-7-2011 This year was a great year for FleshandColor to work some body painting at DragonCon (or Dragon*Con depending on how you want to type it) Before we get to talking about the body painting done, if you are like me, you eat your dessert first. So, here is the YouTube video of the behind the scenes. Click the link above and it will open a new window and take you to YouTube. Again, let us know what you think. We read to every comment. Friday morning we started out by body painting "Cheetara" from the ThunderCats.
It was not a particularly complex piece of body painting but it was effective and fun. We all remember Cheetara. ;) Below is a piece I have done 4 years straight now. We have done it three years at DragonCon and one year at Celebration 5.
The following body paintings were done for Drowingmonkeys Games for promotion at DragonCon. We had a lot of fun with these because aside from one Poison Ivy character from Batman, we had free range to do whatever, and we did. Check out the shots. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
So that is it for now. Write us and let us know what you think about the new bodypainting at DragonCon. We will update again, soon!
